life in the granite state

I'm pretty sure the first time I told my boyfriend (in September) that I was doing a two week detox diet and would only be eating fruits and vegetables for a week and then adding in only a handful of grains and nuts the following week, he thought I'd lost my mind.
Now that I'm doing it a second time, I'm pretty sure he still thinks I'm semi nuts, but not quite off my rocker.
I'm not sure that I will ever convince him to try a detox diet. I'm not actually sure if there are enough fruits and vegetables in this country that he is willing to eat that would sustain him for two weeks without coming out on the other end swearing them off for good.
To tell the truth, in September I wasn't sure I could do it. But dammit, after spending more than $100 on fresh fruits and vegetables to get me through the week, I was going to make it work. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. That's not to say it wasn't hard to swear off fish (I seriously don't think I can live with out it!) bread, cheese (!) and chocolate, but for two weeks, it's definitely doable.
